Location: New York City
What you pay for: Students do have to pay for housing, lab fees and a $775 student fee per semester.

2. College of the Ozarks
Location: Point Lookout, Mo.
What you pay for: room and board
*This is a work college.

3. United States Coast Guard Academy
Location: New London, Conn.
What you pay for: nothing

Others federally funded service institutions:
The U.S. Naval Academy,
the Merchant Marine Academy,
the Air Force Academy and the Military Academy
Free but:
– some schools may require students to pay certain fees.
– After graduation, Coast Guard grads are required to serve for at least five years.
– Service requirements at other schools range from five to eight years .

4. Webb Institute
Location: Glen Cove, N.Y.

What you pay for: Room and Board.

5. Macaulay Honors College
Location: New York City

What you pay for: Free Tuition for in-state residents.

6. Curtis Institute of Music
Location: Philadelphia
The Curtis Institute of Music provides merit-based full-tuition scholarships to all undergraduate and graduate, students, regardless of their financial situation.


important:  Many schools would waive the tuition or offer full scholarship for academic excellence.
